On the evening of Saturday, May 31, a radiant celebration of courage, inclusion, and community spirit lit up the streets of South Fayette. Among the sea of glowing runners, one moment stood out: Scott, a longtime participant with Not Forgotten Home and Community Services (NFHCS), crossed the finish line of his very first 5K race.

The 2025 South Fayette Glow Run, which raised over $12,000 for Four Diamonds and its mission to conquer childhood cancer, welcomed runners of all ages and abilities. Scott participated alongside Darah, a dedicated NFHCS staff member, embodying the spirit of connection and support that defines our work.

This race was more than just a run—it marked a powerful personal milestone for Scott and a moment of celebration for the entire NFHCS community. His determination to complete the race (he finished in the top 100: place 99!), his bright smile, and the cheers from fellow runners and spectators reminded everyone that inclusion is not just a value—it’s a lived experience.

“On behalf of all the advisers, chairs, sponsors, and volunteers, we would like to begin by thanking you for an incredible evening and turnout,” shared the event organizers. “We are proud to announce that we were able to raise over $12,000 for Four Diamonds. That money will go towards the total amount raised for our Mini-THON in 2026.”

Scott’s achievement speaks volumes about the impact of belonging, encouragement, and opportunity. At NFHCS, we believe in endorsing the uniqueness of every individual—and in supporting each person to reach new milestones, whether it’s learning a new skill, building friendships, or crossing their first-ever finish line.

To Scott, to Darah, and to everyone who made the Glow Run a night to remember—thank you. We are so proud to cheer you on, today and always.
