Frequently Asked Questions - NFHCS Employees - Coronavirus/COVID-19

1. Are all NFHCS activity locations closed? 

Yes, we are currently closed at each activity location until further notice. We hope for these closures to be temporary but the health and safety of individuals is our number one priority. That is why we are closed at this time.

Hab Services and Residential Housing care will continue as usual with commonsense guidelines. Although most of our staff are now using Therap, we ask that additional paperwork be placed in our mail box or our main door when it is due. 

PLEASE DO NOT enter unless you are administrative staff.

2. I am an employee and I may have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.  What do I do?

Please see above information from The PA Department of Health.


3. What are some activities that I can do with my individual that will not put us at risk?

Get creative in the home! Here are some ideas:

Spring clean around the house - Its that time of year anyway!  Get an early start on Spring cleaning around the house.

Reorganize book shelves - Book shelves can get disorganized easily.  Reorganize books and look through them for fun!

Make Art - from collages to weavings and everything in between.  Go to for creative ideas. 

Play Games - Good old fashioned board games are still fun! 

Get Creative with Cooking - Make a meal using a new recipe or create your own.

YouTube Yoga - Practice yoga from your living room. Pull up YouTube on your smart TV. and search for Beginner Yoga clips. Another great way to boost the immune system!

4.  What can I do in the community that will not be a high risk activity?

Exercise is proven to be good for the immune system.  Get outdoors and hike, bike, or walk.  Practice social distancing. Always wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. If you see lots of people, try maintain a distance of at least 6 ft. away.

5. I like to be social, how can I still see friends?

Facetime, zoom, and other modern apps can bring friends together.  If you have access to any of these, you can still virtually mingle with friends.


6.  How can I manage anxiety and stress at this time?

7. Can a group of our individuals meet at the drop in center/ art studio if they are 6 feet apart.
